The Department of Physics offers Bachelor and Master Studies in Physics as central elements. It is possible to finish the Master Studies in a principle-based branch. Furthermore, there are Studies in Physics for Teaching at Secondary Schools (Physik für das Lehramt an Gymnasien, LaG) and Master of Education in Physics at Vocational Training Schools (Lehramt an der Berufsschule).
Join us at the astronomical observatory of the Department of Physics! The TURM Observatory consists of several remote telescope systems in Darmstadt and in the south of Spain. We observe everything that is going on in the sky – from the Sun to exoplanets to distant galaxies. The instruments are used by our students for lab courses, project work, and outreach activities.
