Visit from Greece
Greek high school students visiting the Physics Department

On Wednesday, 24.04.2024, the Physics Department had a visit from a group of 45 high school students and 4 teachers from Model Upper Secondary School (Lyzeum) of Agioi Anargyroi near Athens, Greece.
The Dean of Studies Prof. Jens Braun presented our department and the Bachelor Physik programme. Prof Roth then gave an introduction to our TURM observatory and a impressive look at the stars in space. Afterwards the group had two different lab tours in the Institute of Condensed Matter Physics and Institute of Condensed Matter Physics.
At the end, we had lunch together in the „Mensa Stadtmitte“, before they travelled on to Heidelberg
