What we do

we promote teaching and research in physics at TU Darmstadt
we maintain contacts with and between alumni of the department
we award prizes for final theses, dissertations and special commitment to teaching
we promote international relations, e.g. through travel grants for outgoing and incoming students
we strengthen the profile of the department both internally and externally

The Gerhard Herzberg Society coordinates closely with the Department of Physics and works without competing with the activities of the Association of Friends of TU Darmstadt (“Vereinigung von Freunden der TU Darmstadt”).
