Starry Night – Winter Edition
An interactive journey into the depths of the universe with the telescopes of the TURM Observatory
2024/12/16
Have you ever seen the birthplace of stars or the remains of a stellar explosion? An interactive journey into the depths of the universe awaits you at the Starry Night – Winter Edition.

Together with Professor Robert Roth, the evening's presenter, we will explore gas nebulae, supernova remnants and distant galaxies live and interactively. With the help of the remote-controlled telescopes of the TURM Observatory, operated by the Department of Physics in Extremadura in the southwest of Spain, these fascinating objects are made visible in real time. The light-sensitive cameras provide impressive images of the night sky as we go in search of distant and exotic celestial bodies.
Whether you are an astronomy fan or just curious about the vastness of space, this event is suitable for all ages and ideal to enjoy with family and friends.
Note: If the weather does not permit observation on Saturday evening, the event will be postponed to Monday, December 30, at the same time.
